Hey, everyone! I'm about a month into my time as a broadcast assistant with the Tampa Bay Lightning. Pictured above was our preseason matchup at the Kia Center in Orlando about a week ago.
So far, I've contributed with content during our first four radio broadcasts: audio soundbites, interviews, social media, audio engineering, etc. I've been most surprised by the number of opportunities I've had so far. Even on my first day, I got to tackle a ton of creative ideas to work on for the start of the season.
The most important thing has been my scheduling with a calendar that includes content ideas even as far out as February of next year! Budgeting time has been crucial, but it'll get easier as I get into the swing of my role more routinely.
